Main Role

Ann is the Head for all products within Liberty's Casualty and Professional & Financial Risks portfolios across Asia, based in Singapore.

Personal Profile

Ann has worked in the Professional & Financial Risks sector since 2001 and has been with Liberty since 2005.  In the early years of her career, Ann focused on the Australian region where she managed one of the largest Professional & Financial Risks portfolios and underwriting teams in Australia. Since 2017 she is focused on leading a profitably growing Professional & Financial Risks Asia team and in 2022, expanded her remit to lead the Asia Casualty team as well.

Ann has a Bachelor of Commerce in finance, risk and insurance, and she maintains a long-standing interest in workplace mentoring and coaching.

Main role

As part of the Singapore Casualty team, Daphne focuses her underwriting capabilities within the Singapore and Thailand markets.

Personal profile

Daphne began her insurance career with a major Korean reinsurer in 2011. Drawing on her proficiency in Korean, she joined Liberty in June 2015 to help grow our Korean book of business. 

Daphne is currently responsible for developing our Singapore retail portfolio and Thailand reinsurance business. She is also actively working on raising the profile of our Environmental Liability book of business in Asia. 

Daphne holds an ACII qualification.

Underwriting of Primary/Excess/Umbrella liability across Asia.

Personal Profile

Jianfeng started his (re)insurance career in 2008. He joined Liberty in 2009 and has more than 15 years of underwriting experience across Casualty, Financial Lines and Marine. 

He holds a Bachelor of Business specialising in Actuarial Science from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

Main role

Matthew manages the upstream Exploration & Production Casualty portfolio across the Asia Pacific Region.  He is also the South Australia branch manager, in which role he oversees all branch operations, including branch Casualty business.  In addition, he is responsible for promoting Liberty Adelaide’s cross-lines approach to business.

Personal profile

Matthew has 30 years of underwriting and broking experience - focused mainly on corporate national and international clients - in both Australia and Asia (specifically, Vietnam).  He joined Liberty in January 2011.

Matthew holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking).

Main Role

Sunne is a Senior Underwriter in the Casualty team based in Singapore, responsible for underwriting all Casualty products including Construction Third Party Liability and Energy Liability.  Sunne works closely with our Risk Engineers and Claims to develop bespoke risk solutions for our clients.

Personal Profile

Sunne has over 20 years of (re)insurance experience in both underwriting and managerial roles focusing on international brokers and (re)insurance business. In 2015, she joined the Liberty Labuan branch and relocated to Singapore in 2017, following with an opportunity for one year secondment to Hong Kong in 2020.  She has held various underwriting responsibilities developing the Casualty portfolio in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. 

Sunne's primary experience resides on operational and construction risk in Asia spanning across the oil and gas (Energy) and power segments.

She holds a Bachelor of Administration in Economics with International Business and Finance.

Main Role

Yassir is currently managing the Casualty portfolio (CGL, Product Liability, Excess, Umbrella, Construction TPL) within the Malaysian market as the Casualty Manager- Malaysia.

Personal Profile

Yassir started working in both general insurance and takaful companies since 2001.

With more than 20 years of experience in the Malaysian insurance industry, Yassir has worked in various Marketing (Broking, Direct Corporate and Agency), Underwriting and Managerial roles. He has developed specialized skills in respect of underwriting the following classes of business: property (fire, industrial All Risks and miscellaneous classes), Liability (General Liability and Product Liability), Marine (Cargo and Port Operators Liability), Workers’ Compensation, and Engineering (CAR/EAR, EEI, CECR).

Yassir has an ACCI qualification including being a Fellow member, and other qualifications such as AMII, Diploma in Business Studies and LCCI Certificate in Book-Keeping.
