Liberty Insurance and Liberty Specialty Markets are coming together to offer broader protection and expertise for customers in Malaysia.

Effective 1 January 2026, the majority of underwriters from Liberty Specialty Markets Singapore Pte Limited, Labuan Branch, have transitioned to Liberty General Insurance Berhad. This forms part of Liberty Mutual’s strategic plan to consolidate all Malaysian operations under one license.

This change is a key milestone in Liberty Mutual’s effort to present a more streamlined and stronger company across the Asia Pacific region. Andrew Soh continues to serve as the Principal Officer of Liberty Specialty Markets during our transition period.

As one company, you’ll keep the same trusted partnerships with even easier access to one of the broadest ranges of general insurance products in the market.

The most important part: your current benefits from policies in-force through Liberty Specialty Markets remain unchanged.

3. Claims processes and standards are the same, you can still count on smooth, timely support when you need it.
4. The product range, risk appetite and capacity that you are used to from Liberty Specialty Markets remains unchanged. Liberty Insurance will continue to provide the same product offering.
