Rian is based in Liberty's Sydney office and manages the Australian Cyber and IT Liability underwriting portfolio.

Personal profile

Rian began his insurance career in 2008 as an Information Technology underwriter, working in both Sydney and Melbourne with a global insurer before joining Liberty in 2015. During his time at Liberty in addition to Information Technology Liability and Cyber, Rian has underwritten a broad range of Professional & Financial Risk products. In 2019 he transitioned to focus exclusively on Information Technology Liability and Cyber Insurance products.

Rian holds a Bachelor of Business (Insurance), a Graduate Certificate in Cloud Computing and Virtualisation, and a Master of Cyber Security from Charles Sturt University. He also holds the ANZIIF (Fellow) CIP designation and the GIAC Open Source Intelligence (GOSI) certification.
